Instructional design

Learning designed to make sense.
And stick.

Effective learning starts with understanding your audience, what they already know and what they need to be able to do. We apply adult learning principles to turn complex subject matter into clear, engaging learning experiences, with opportunities to practise, receive feedback and apply new knowledge.

We can develop a single course or a complete learning program, handling everything from learning objectives and storyboards to digital development and delivery.

From learning need to finished program

01

Understand the need

We work with you to clarify the audience, the gaps in their knowledge or skills, and what successful learning should enable them to do. This shapes the learning objectives and how progress will be assessed.

02

Design the experience

We structure the content and choose the right mix of digital learning, live sessions and practical activities. Scenarios, exercises and assessments give learners opportunities to practise and apply what they learn.

03

Develop and refine

We work with subject matter experts to develop accurate content and detailed storyboards. Agreed review stages keep everyone aligned before we build and test the finished materials.

04

Prepare for delivery

We produce digital courses in Articulate Rise and Storyline, with packages ready for your learning management system and supporting resources where required. Programs can be structured for reuse and adaptation across markets.

Capability development

Building the capability to perform

What do your people need to do well, and what will help them get there? We work with you to define the capabilities that matter to your organisation and turn them into a clear plan for development.

Our capability development work connects organisational priorities with the skills and behaviours people need in their roles. We help shape development pathways and programs for individuals and teams, with a focus on applying learning at work.

Define what matters

We help clarify what effective performance looks like for a role or team, identify development priorities and map the capabilities needed to support them.

Create a clear path

We organise learning and development into structured pathways, connecting existing resources with new programs where needed. Each element has a clear purpose and a place in the wider plan.

Put the plan into practice

We help design and launch capability programs, with communications that explain their purpose and encourage participation. Practical activities and assessment connect learning with the situations people encounter in their work.
